IMDEA Networks Institute is a research organization on data networks, whose multinational team is engaged in cutting-edge fundamental science and technology. Some keywords that define us: 5G, 6G, Big Data, blockchain and distributed ledgers, cloud computing, content-delivery networks, data analytics, energy-efficient networks, fog and edge computing, indoor positioning, Internet of Things (IoT), Industry 4.0, machine learning, millimeter-wave communication, mobile computing, network economics, network measurements, network security, networked systems, network protocols and algorithms, network virtualization, privacy, social networks, vehicular and wireless networks … We collaborate closely with industry through international project consortiums, industry contracts, the 5TONIC innovation lab, as co-inventors of patents, in joint events or entrepreneurial ventures. This collaborative exchange allows matching technologies originating from our labs with real-world needs.
